CAMERON, MO. -- Law enforcement officials have begun a criminal investigation into the death of an inmate at the western Missouri correctional center.
The Missouri Department of corrections said 27-year-old Pascual Herrera was found dead at the prison on Friday.
After an autopsy was performed, authorities began a criminal investigation.
No future details were immediately available.
Herrera was serving a six-year sentence for tampering with an airplane/motorboat in Camden County and weapons and drug charges from Cass County.
