Haiti relief workers qualify for an extension on state and federal taxes.

This extension applies to members of the military who worked in Haiti, and Red Cross personnel.

They can gain 180 days after their departure date to file.

Those who qualify are directed to write "Haiti relief" across the top of their state tax return during the extension period.
