Five more Cut Throat gang members sentenced

Five more Columbia gang members have been sentenced for their involvement in illegal drug trafficking and firearms.

The United States attorney for the Western District of Missouri, says Cut Throat members William Ricky Boyd, 22, Robert Darnell Simmons, 37, Dametrell Koda Washington, 28, and Tarron Montez Cason, 27, were all sentenced in separate hearings Tuesday.

Dajuan Anthony Harris, 26 was sentenced on Monday.

Boyd was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in federal prison without parole.

Simmons was sentenced to seven years and 10 months in federal prison without parole.

Washington was sentenced to six years and three months in federal prison without parole.

Cason was sentenced to five years in federal prison without parole.

Harris was sentenced to nine years and two months in federal prison without parole.

Washington and Cason each plead guilty to his role in a conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana from January 2007 to January 2009. Washington also pleaded guilty to possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug-trafficking conspiracy.

Boyd and Simmons, admitted to being involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred on May 31, 2008, at a Petro Mart gas station on Falling Leaf in Columbia.

On July 8, 2009, Harris pleaded guilty to using a telephone to facilitate a conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and to being a felon in possession of firearms. He has a prior felony convictions for drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
