Cut Throat gang members sentenced to federal prison

Four Columbia members of the Cut Throats gang were sentenced in federal court for their involvement in illegal drug trafficking and firearms.

Koda Coats, 23, his brother, Eric Coats, 22, Demarco Burnett, 25, and Cheviss Denny, 22, were sentenced to federal prison yesterday morning.

The U.S. attorney for the western district of Missouri says Koda Coats was sentenced to 18 years and four months. Eric Coats will spend 15 years in prison. Burnett and Denny were each sentenced to 10 years.

Denny and Eric Coats also admitted to their involvement in two separate gang related gas station shootings in Columbia.
