COLUMBIA -- The national organization, Dogs Deserve Better, was spreading its message today in Columbia….don’t chain your dogs.

The group held an adoption event Saturday afternoon at a new pet supply store called Lizzi & Rocco’s.

Some of the dogs up for adoption had been abused by their previous owners, but have been rehabilitated and are ready for their new, forever homes.
