JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Missouri Board of Education is awaiting a consultant's report on the effectiveness of state programs for boosting student achievement.
The board expected to get preliminary results of the study at a meeting Friday.
The study was done by education consultant Doug Reeves and the Colorado-based Leadership and Learning Center. The goal is to give teachers and administrators practical information.
The consultants examined Missouri's education priorities and the degree to which school policies have been implemented. They also studied the links between those policies and how well students are performing.
