COLUMBIA, MO. -- A state oversight board has voted to cut ties with the Boone County Community Partnership because of complaints and negative audits.

Missouri's Family and Community trust voted to not renew its contract with the community partnership. The group will lose out on over $300,000 it uses to pay administrative costs.

The partnership will also not be able to disperse hundreds of thousands of more dollars that go to low-income families.

The state said it is looking for other groups to partner with in Boone County to make sure they money still gets to those who need it.
