COLUMBIA, MO. -- Columbia police are looking for the man who robbed the Clark Lane Burger King Sunday night about 11:30 p.m.

Witnesses said a slender man wearing dark clothing and a ski mask approached a female employee in the restaurant’s parking lot while she was taking out the trash.

The suspect then displayed his gun and ordered the employee back inside the restaurant.

Once inside, the robber ordered another female employee to give him money from the registers and the store manager’s office.

The suspect left the store on foot.

Another witness told investigators a man fitting the suspect’s description left the area in a light-colored passenger car.

“We always want to remind people to comply with what the robber says," Columbia police officer Jessie Haden said. "Give the person your stuff. You can always get more stuff. You can’t get a new you. We certainly don’t want people to get into a conflict with the robber.”

Investigators are using surveillance video from the restaurant and nearby businesses to help indentify the armed robber.

If you have any information, Columbia police urge you to call Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS or www.875TIPS.com.
