Man with criminal history jailed after larceny investigation

BOONE COUNTY, MO. -- A Columbia man with a criminal history is in Boone County jail this morning.

Boone County deputies say George Day Jr. ran from deputies when they approached him, but was quickly arrested.

It happened last night around 10 p.m. on New Haven Road near a mobile home park when deputies were investigating a larceny report.

Investigators say day had four active warrants for his arrest and two pending Boone County charges.
