Prairie Home woman killed in head-on collision

COOPER COUNTY -- A Prairie Home woman has died as the result of a head-on collision early yesterday morning just north of Apple Drive in Cooper County.

The highway patrol says Sheryl Gann, 65, was killed when a pick-up truck, driven by Joseph McDonald, 58, also of Prairie Home, crossed the center line of Highway 87 and struck her car.

McDonald was taken to University Hospital with moderate injuries.
