MARIES COUNTY, MO. -- The Maries County R-2 school board has decided to reinstate a high school principal accused of pushing a student and threatening to beat up another.
Belle High School Principal John Lewis has been on leave since Feb. 22, while police investigated allegations he shoved a student and threatened another.
Following a closed-door meeting the school board voted unanimously to reinstate Lewis starting March 8.
Board members said they made their decision after a thorough investigation and thoughtful discussion.
