Moberly Police Chief retires after 33 years

MOBERLY -- A police chief is retiring after three decades of work.

Moberly Chief of Police Dennis Cupp has announced his retirement effective June 1.

Chief Cupp currently is one of the longest serving law enforcement officers in north central Missouri.    

City Manager Andy Morris also announced that Asst. Chief-Major Russell Tarr would assume the reins as Moberly Police Chief effective the same date.

Tarr has been a member of the department for 25 years.
