BOONE COUNTY -- A Boone County woman is facing charges after deputies say she hit a man with her car after a fight.
Boone County deputies arrested Dawn Lowrey, 38, early Saturday morning at a home on Silver Fork Hill Road.
She and a 39-year-old man had been arguing.
When Lowrey tried to leave in a vehicle she hit the man.
He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies say Lowrey was allegedly under the influence of intoxicants when she was later contacted.
The woman faces second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges and one count of leaving the scene of an accident.
She has since posted bond and been released from jail.
