COLUMBIA, MO. -- People are flipping over some delicious pancakes for a good cause.

The International House of Pancakes is celebrating National Pancake Day with free short stacks.

Hundreds of people are taking advantage of the givaway at the Columbia IHOP restaurant.

Restaurant managers hope their customers give back by making donations to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Money from the fundraiser will help patients at the University of Missouri’s Children’s Hospital in Columbia.

“We’ve had some great donations," IHOP General Manager Eddie Barnes said. "We’ve had some $100 donations with the big balloons. We had a couple of businesses come in and gave a $100 donation. The donations are looking really good right now.”

The Columbia IHOP has a goal of raising $6,000 this Pancake Day.

Nationally, the event has raised nearly $2 million for the Children’s Miracle Network, every year, during the past four years.

The free pancake givaway lasts until 10 p.m. on Tuesday night.
