ROLLA -- Police in Rolla credit a good samaritan for chasing down purse snatchers.
A witness saw a man grab a woman's purse from a grocery store Sunday and run into a getaway car. That person chased the suspect vehicle while calling police.
One of the suspects got out of the car on foot, the witness managed to stop him until police got there.
Phelps County deputies arrested Joseph Howell, 30.
A few minutes later, highway patrol officers arrested Jonathan Baker, 23, and Jacqueline Baker, 22 both of Rolla, who were allegedly in the getaway car.
