Man arrested after running into car, house

COLUMBIA, MO. -- A man struck a parked car injuring a woman inside, took off, and then ran his car into a duplex.

It happened about 2 a.m. this morning on Demaret Drive in Boone County. 

Police identify the driver as Mark Waller, 47, of Ashland.

The woman in the car was not seriously injured.

The duplex the car hit was near Hogan Drive and Demaret.

 It did not sustain major damage either.

Police finally stopped Waller west of there, on Clark Lane near St. Charles Road.

Waller was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving drunk.

Waller made bond and was released from jail today.
