Jefferson City police prepare for New Year's Eve

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- Jefferson City Police are preparing for New Year’s Eve in the Capitol City.

The Jefferson City Police Department said it'll be cracking down tonight, with additional officers looking for drunk drivers.

A majority of the department's traffic unit will be on duty tonight.

They encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly by using a designated driver.
