Police have taken three additional people into custody in connection to the murder of a man whose body was found in a tractor-trailer in Vandalia last week.

Robert Nicholas Allen, 52, of Vandalia, Jackie Don Moss, 44, of Vandalia, and Darrill Kirtley Lynn, 45, of Farber are charged with kidnapping James William Boyd McNeely, 20, of Ohio.

Chester Clay Harvey Jr., 38 of Laddonia, and Chad Michael Harvey were charged with the murder of McNeely and remain in custody at the Audrain County Jail.

Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney Jacob Shellabarger said will ask to amend charges against both Chester Clay Harvey Jr. and Chad Michael Harvey at their next court appearance on Jan. 13.

Chester Clay Harvey Jr. charges would be amended to first degree murder, armed criminal action and kidnapping.

Chad Michael Harvey charges would be amended to first degree murder, kidnapping, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse.

Two juveniles, ages 16 and 14, are also being detained in connection to the murder of McNeely.

An autopsy performed on Dec. 26 determined that McNeely’s death was the result of a homicide.
