St. Mary's parent company to build new hospital in Capitol City

JEFFERSON CITY -- The parent company of St. Mary's Health Center has been given the green light to build a new hospital in Jefferson City.

The replacement hospital on Highway 179 was approved by the SSM Health Care Board of Directors last week.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2112 and the new hospital should open in 2014.
