Johnson found guilty of murdering his son

COLUMBIA, MO. -- Columbia man is found guilty of murdering his two-year-old son.

Horace Johnson, 27, was found guilty of second degree murder in the Boone County Court house after the jury took 45 minutes to deliberate.

Johnson, along with Keyonda Lumpkin, were charged with abusing their son Cortez Johnson, which lead to his death by blunt force trauma to the head.

Lumpkin was convicted of second degree murder in September and was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Johnson's sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 1 2010.
