First H1N1 flu clinic for Boone County preschoolers

BOONE COUNTY -- Some of the first doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine will be given to preschoolers in Boone County this week. The walk-in flu clinic is Wednesday Oct. 28 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Columbia/Boone County Health Department at 1005 West Worley in Columbia.

The health department says this clinic is open to children ages six months to four years of age. Both the the vaccine and FluMist will be available. Supplies are limited and they will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Consent forms can be completed prior to the clinic by visiting www.GoColumbiaMO.com. 

Some pediatricians and family medicine physicians in Boone County have also agreed to offer the H1N1 vaccine to their patients.
