PASADENA, CALIF. (AP) -- Authorities fear there may be more victims after a Pasadena man arrested this week on charges he molested a boy told investigators he has been assaulting children for decades.

Pasadena police spokesman Vance Mitchell said 69-year-old Homer Clark Stelle is accused of molesting a boy who lived near his home.

Stelle was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child and possession of child pornography.

Mitchell said Pasadena police received a tip in December from someone who suggested Stelle was behaving like a sex offender, trying to select a victim.

Mitchell said child pornography was found in Stelle's apartment and Stelle told investigators that he had been sexually abusing children since 1964.

Mitchell said Stelle has no prior record and is not a registered sex offender. Stelle is in the Harris County Jail on $80,000 bail.

Calls by The Associated Press early Thursday seeking information on whether Stelle has an attorney were not immediately successful.

Pasadena is located 16 miles east-southeast of Houston.
