Voted for McCain & Nixon in Ashland, no lines, only 1 electronic voting machine – odd, but it worked. I liked that the electronic ballot also had a printout of my vote, something like a gas receipt. I could see what I typed on the receipt, I liked the double check.
I voted at 4;15 and didn't have to wait at Notre Dame Hall, was 650. Went fairly easy.
My husband and I were at our voting station at 5:45AM this morning waiting in an already long line. This was on the west side of Jefferson City. The doors opened at exactly 6AM and they handled the crowd very well. We were #119 & 120 at 6:15am.
Went to vote about 745 at the first babtist churh in california mo . No line was in and out in 5 min
Hi – I voted a little after 6 am at Concord, I was #155 and it took about ½ an hour – total. There was a back up at the tables – not enough places for people to sit to vote – but that cleared out pretty quickly once the rush got thru. No exit poll. They needed to raise the signs showing you which line to get in – so they could be seen over everyone’s heads – but all in all – pretty easy experience.
I voted a 6:45 in Maries County, Belle. There was a short wait, but no problem, I was number 110.
I live in Rich Fountain, and got in line at 6:20, after a 12 minute wait, I was able to cast my vote and was #44 to do so in our small town.
I voted at 6:50 am this morning in Westphalia. I waited for about 5 minutes to vote and was #146.
Arrived at Southridge Baptist Church at 5:55 AM – 5 minutes before poll opening time. There were approximately 100 people already in line, the earliest having arrived at 5:15 AM. Poll workers were well organized and trained, with about 25 voting booths set up in the Church basement. Quickly and efficiently moving people through the identification process, total voting time was about 25 minutes. As I left about 6:30 AM, the line was moving smoothly, with about 75-100 people waiting their turn.
went to go vote this morning on AA in Holts Summit. I understand the wait. But I was upset by the way we were asked to vote. There was barely any privacy to vote. We were setting at tables right next to the next person and you could see their ballot clearly. There was some partitions between some voters but only about five total. Also when we deposited our ballot the line was right where we put the ballot in the machine. I believe they could see my ballot very clearly. I have never complained about how I was asked to vote before, but today upset me and my husband also. I can't believe there won't be more people upset about the set up.Just wanted to vent. Thank you for your site.
In reference to our voting experience, we were at the polls in Brazito at 5:45a.m. My Husband and I were numbers 53 and 56 at the voting poll. It took approximately 45 minutes from arrival to finish.Turn out was extremely high this morning but the flow of people traffic at the polls was fairly descent. The size of the hall could have been bigger for today's crowd but other than that...it went well! In retrospect during the last election we went to the polls at 5:30p.m. and were numbers 54 and 55.
had a very pleasant experience on a beautiful day!I voted at the Armory in Jefferson City at about 9:30. I was able to find a parking spot, quickly. There was barely a line, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. There was a steady crowd, most of the tables were full of voters. Everyone was doing paper ballots. ( It looked like there was one touch screen machine, but it was sitting unused against a wall.)No exit polls and I was relieved that the wait time wasn’t long. I’ve been hearing stories of two hour waits from friends in St. Louis County all morning.
I’m a registered voter in Cole county. I voted at the Solid Rock Church in Jefferson City. I avoided the early morning lines, and went about 9:30 AM. There were several voters there, approx 30-40, but I did not have a wait time. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. There seemed to be enough ballots and machines. I was not asked to take an exit poll. I was overall pleased with the process.
I voted at 7:15 am in Mokane in Callaway County. When I went to register my vote, a woman in front of me got a error on the machine. The poll worker said to try it again, she did and got the same error. It said wrong ballet number. All of the ballots in the pile they were given were numbered the same. When I tried to scan my vote I got the same error. We were given new ballots to fill out. That time the machine accepted them. I was the 55th person to vote this morning. I have to admint I have my doubts in these new scanning machines!
Arrived at the Iberia R-V High School polling place around 9:00 a.m. There was a steady flow of voters, but no line. I was able to sign in and go directly to a voting booth. Everything was conducted properly. Hats off to the workers! There was no exit poll.
I voted in Taos at the K of C Hall at 6:00 a.m., waited around 30 minutes and was #96 but had no problems. There were enough ballots and polls and I was not asked to take an exit poll. Thanks to the volunteers, they do a wonderful job!
I voted this morning at 6:00 a.m. I was number 30 with 30 people behind me at Wesley United Methodist Church. I had about a 30 minute wait. I think everyone had the same idea I had this morning. There were enough voting machines at the time. I am usually not a morning person, but today I was excited about election. This election will make history and we are all alive to witness this event. Have a Great Day!
I voted in Osage Beach, Mo about 11:45 and there was no line . Walked right in and voted . I was number 763 which is high for our area
Voted in Tebbets at 6:15 a.m. Was through in 10 minutes
My husband and I voted at about 7:00 this morning in Frankenstein, Osage County and there was a line and several people all ready there that were voting. We waited about 10 min in line. It went smoothly and was very organized. I am not sure what number we were but as we were leaving several more people were showing up to case their vote.
I went to vote at City Hall in Jeff City at 6 AM. The doors were still locked from the outside and the persons already in line (there were about 20 of them) had to open the door for all newcomers. While the staff there was quite professional they were still having to erect the booths at about 6:05, which leads me to believe that, like during the primary, no one showed up early to unlock the door and set up. Other than that it was fine.
My wife voted at the KC Hall in Taos at 7:15am and was # 300, and I voted at 11:30am at same location and was # 910..No problems at all and was in and out in very little time frame.Great job by the poll workers in Taos
Voted at Concord Baptist Church in JC. My husband went around 6am and said they were lined up around the side of the building so he decided to go after work. I got there at 7:30am and there was no wait. The poll workers were helpful, the process was efficient, and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. I read another voter's concern that no one was monitoring the ballot machine to make sure ballots were accepted. No one was monitoring the machine at Concord either. I put the ballot in and it didn't come back out, so hopefully I'm in good shape!
I voted this morning @ St. George Notre Dame Hall in Linn @ 7:30 a.m. - did not have to wait in line and it went smoothly.
Voter went to the polls @8:34 a.m. at the Hallsville Red Top Christian Church. There was a steady stream of people, and it took about 10 minutes to vote. 218 people had voted when the machine counting the ballots crashed, that was about 7:30am. The ballots will have to be hand-fed back through the system.
I voted at the Hanover Community Building in Northeast Columbia. I arrived at 7 a.m.and the crowd was already out the door--consistently 50 strong. Things went smoothly, but it still took 40 minutes from the time I got there to finish voting.
I voted this AM in Etterville MO. I arrived at 7:10 am. There were only 4 or so booths available and they had open tables with no privacy set up that they were telling people to use. I would have liked to see more booths for peoples privacy. I didn't have to wait in much of a line so other than the booth issue it was fine. They did not ask me to do an exit poll.
