Two men were arrested Wednesday morning after employees at a Columbia hardware store called police to report suspicious activity.

Boone County deputies found the vehicle described and followed it to several other Columbia stores. They later stopped the vehicle in the Crossroads Shopping Center parking lot.

The driver, 29-year-old Jonathan Wadlow of Hallsville, was arrested for driving while his license was revoked. The passenger, 26-year-old Joseph Turner of Sturgeon, was arrested for an outstanding felony drug warrant out of St. Charles County.

Both men were also arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance when deputies found a complete, active methamphetamine lab in the vehicle. All stages of the manufacturing process were identified.

Specially-trained deputies neutralized the potential risks before gathering the evidence.
