A 24-year-old woman died Friday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday night.

Michelle Morrow was ejected from a 2000 Ford F150 pickup, which was hit by a 2000 Volkswagon Beetle near the Hinkson Creek Bridge. The pickup then struck the center median barrier and flipped several times before stopping.

The Beetle and F150 were traveling southbound on Missouri 163 (Providence), when the VW crossed the center line and hit the truck, causing the drivers to lose control of their vehicles.

The Beetle spun several times before stopping on the shoulder of Providence Road.

Morrow and the driver of the F150, 23-year-old Michael Tufts, were ejected from the vehicle. The third passenger, 21-year-old John Kalogeris, was taken to University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. None of the three were wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the VW, 20-year-old Spencer Gordon, and its one passenger, 22-year-old Kyle Turner, were looked over by EMS personnel at the scene but were not injured. Turner was wearing a seatbelt, although Gordon was not.

Both drivers were tested for alcohol/drug intoxication. Toxicology results are not yet available.
