HARRISONVILLE, MO. (AP) -- Cass County sheriff's deputies have found a burned body inside a partially submerged vehicle in a conservation area southwest of Harrisonville.

Sheriff's spokesman Cpl. Kevin Tieman says the body was found around 1 p.m. Monday at Bittern Bottoms Conservation Area inside a smaller passenger car that also was burned up.

Investigators have neither identified the body nor determined the cause of death.

Tieman says the Kansas City Crime Lab has been called in to help with the investigation because of the nature of the incident.
