Marijuana found in Westminster student's car

Westminster College student, Michael Peters, was arrested on drug charges.

FULTON, MO -- At 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a Fulton Police Officer discovered that someone had attempted to break into a vehicle in the 700 block of  Westminster Avenue.

The officer detected a odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and upon searching the vehicle the officer found approximately a pound and a half of marijuana in several bags.

The officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle, Michael Peters, 19, of Chesterfield, who is a student at Westminster College.

Peters was arrested for felony possession of marijuana more than 5 grams with intent to distribute with 2000 feet of a school. Peters was transported to the Callaway County Jail with a bond of $20,000.
