ST. LOUIS, MO (AP) -- A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in a bank robbery spree.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/Z5IJDZ ) reports that 44-year-old Odell McKinnis was sentenced for first- and second-degree robbery and second-degree attempted robbery.

On Feb. 8, 2012, he is accused of getting impatient and leaving after handing a note to a St. Louis credit union demanding cash. Prosecutors say that about an hour later, he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a St. Louis bank.

McKinnis is accused of robbing another bank on March 10, 2012, and holding up two more banks three days later. One robbery note said "give me all the $100s, I know where you live." Prosecutors said he told one teller he would "blow her away."
