STE. GENEVIEVE, MO. -- A Bonne Terre man has been charged for first-degree murder in the death of a woman whose body was found at an eastern Missouri motel.

Curtis Smith, 52, is already serving time for second-degree murder charges connected to another death.

Kristi Murphy's body was found in a bathtub of the Microtel Motel in Ste. Genevieve on Nov. 17.

Smith, who was on parole at the time of her death, is being held with a $250,000 bond.
