Two killed in head-on crash Tuesday afternoon
Two Montgomery County residents were killed in a head-on collision in Franklin County.
The Highway Patrol said the crash happened Tuesday afternoon around 4:40 on Missouri Route 100, about a tenth of a mile west of Grant School Road.
Troopers said 21-year-old Austin Vanbooven was driving eastbound on Route 100 when he crossed the center line and hit another car head-on. That car was driven by 27-year-old Amanda Witthaus.
Both were pronounced dead on the scene.
