Stover officer charged with statutory rape of three minors

A Stover police officer was charged Monday with six counts of statutory rape.

The charges against Aaron Nelson were filed in Moniteau County, where the incidents are alleged to have occured.

Court documents indicate there were three female victims, all under the age of 17. Two of the girls were 16 and the third was 15.

Police said the incidents happened between April and December of 2012 at Nelson's home on Valley Street in California, Mo.

Nelson's law enforcement officer commission was pulled Sunday when his department learned of the charges.

Nelson will be arraigned Tuesday, Jan. 29.
