Just before 4:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a report of a vehicle parked at the intersection of State Road AD and State Road C in Hams Prairie where the driver was unresponsive.

A deputy tried to make contact with Shane Vandelicht, the driver, but he sped away.

The 21-year-old led authorities in a pursuit on State Road C toward Fulton.

Vandelicht's car later hit spike strips and eventually came to a rest.
