Audrain County Sheriff Investigators arrested four men on Friday after some shots were fired at Oak Crest Trailer Court, on Highway 54 south of Mexico.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old fugitive John Henry Holsman of Fulton, 36-year-old John Edward Downing of California, 59-year-old Thomas George Jones of Jefferson City and 50-year-old Steven Lee Weber of Fulton.

Holsman was a fugitive, and the other three men are bail bondsmen.

Audrain County Sheriff Stuart Miller said one of the bail bondsmen fired a weapon at Holsman as he drove away in a vehicle at the trailer park.

The bondsman then chased Holsman on foot into the restroom of a business near East Liberty Street and started beating him.

Authorities took Holsman to a local hospital, where he was treated and released into custody.

Holsman faces several charges from Cooper County, including stealing and receiving stolen property. He remains in the Audrain County Jail with bond set at $42,500.

Downing was arrested for assault with a $50,000 bond. Both Weber and Jones were also arrested for assault with bonds set at $20,000 each.
