Lawmakers bring more business for Jefferson City restaurants

Lawmakers are back in the Capital City, and they need to feed their appetites to make good decisions.
With the lawmakers comes an influx of customers to local restaurants.
"This legislative influx is kind of a boost to our little town of Jefferson City," Rob Agee, owner of Madison's Cafe, said Wednesday night.
Benjamin Huhman, owner and manager of Grand Cafe, said that he has already seen an increase in customers for lunch and happy hour.
"We're hoping that's going to give us our early-week business," he said.
Agee said that it's not only people coming into the restaurant, but catering that also rises when the lawmakers arrive.
"Particularly on inauguration day next Monday, there will be a lot of things going on," he said.
Both owners said they expect to see an even bigger increase in business as the season continues.
