Red cross volunteers responded Wednesday to the third fire in the Rolla-area in just two days.

The fire in the 13000 block of Route CC, left one person with nothing after the home was completely destroyed.

American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter volunteers provided the individual with financial resources to meet immediate emergency needs with the purchase of food, clothing, shoes, a temporary motel stay and a comfort kit.

On New Year's day, Red Cross volunteers helped two Rolla-area residents after fires destroyed their homes.

The first fire was at a mobile home in the 14000 block of County Road 3240 and displaced a family of 6.

Fire officials believe the fire started because of a wood stove in the middle of the home.

The second fire volunteers responded to was at a home in the 1200 block of County Road 6050.
