Mike Farmer said he and his brother, Bud purchased the Capital Mall through their real estate company F and F Properties.

He said the mall is an investment.

They've recruited Covington Realty Partners, an asset and property management company from Chicago to run the mall.

As for any changes coming, Farmer says they'll be working with consultants to revitalize the shopping center bringing in new tenants and evaluating a new strategy to keep the mall viable.

He said the mall is a great fit for their company--they live in jefferson city and are part of the community and they have an interest in seeing it succeed.

Farmer says it is going to take some time to turn things around so don't expect any major changes right away.

But he does see the immediate need for an on site manager who will direct the mall on a day to day basis.
