(AP) -- POTOSI, Mo. (AP) -- Investigators believe slick roads might have contributed to a traffic accident in eastern Missouri that killed a nearly 6-month-old boy and injured six other people.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the two-vehicle accident occurred Sunday night on Highway 21 in Washington County.

The patrol says wet pavement apparently caused the boy's mother to lose control of her car, which slid into the path of a pickup truck.

The patrol says Sebastian J. Garvin of Potosi died in the crash.

The boy's mother and five people in the pickup, all from Mineral Point, were injured, two seriously.
