Plane carrying marijuana lands in Fulton

Early this morning the Fulton Police Department were dispatched to the Fulton Airport because of reports that a plane had landed and was not sending a transponder signal nor responding to the FAA.

After a brief investigation on the scene, the passenger admitted to having marijuana on board.

Police found and seized 31 pounds of high-grade hydroponic marijuana in two duffel bags.

The pilot Russell Hansen of Wynantskill, NY and the passenger Jacob Beatty-Martinez of Bakersfield, CA were placed under arrest for Trafficking of a controlled substance 2nd degree and are at that the Callaway County jail with a bond of $50,000.


The marijuana has a street value of $450,000. This investigation is ongoing.
