Original story:

The MO Highway Patrol and Howard County Sheriff's deputies are on the scene of a stand-off with someone in a home in rural Howard County.

KRCG saw the police presence on County Road 435 near highway 40 west of Rocheport. Officers would not let our cameras close enough to see the home saying that would compromise their operation.

The trouble started earlier in the evening. Police were first called when an injured person showed up at the Snoddy's Store across the river from Boonville.

That person was lifeflighted to the hospital. The stand-off was reported a short time later.

Police are not releasing any more information. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
