Two others were taken into custody for second degree murder and forgery

A Lee's Summit woman has been arrested in connection with a 2010 Camden County homicide.

Sheriff's deputies from Jackson and Camden counties have been working together, with Jackson authorities monitoring 44-year-old Susan Van Note, an attorney at Van Note Law Offices and the daughter of one of the victims.

On Friday, a grand jury indictment for first degree murder and forgery was received by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies arrested Van Note at about 1:30 p.m. without incident, then transported her to their headquarters for questioning. Camden County Detectives will then take custody of Van Note for extradition.

Two others were also taken into custody on second degree murder and forgery charges.

Authorities from Camden County, Johnson County (Kansas) and the Shawnee Police Department also worked together on the case.
