In an effort to curtail the consequences of drunk driving, law enforcement agencies from four states, including Missouri, will all participate in the 'Drive sober or get pulled over campaign.'
starting today, local law enforcement will start conducting regular sobriety checkpoints and DWI saturation patrols.
Officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol say that substance-impaired driving causes 30% of all traffic fatalities in Missouri.
Law enforcement from Jefferson city and Columbia are taking significant measures to step up their patrols during this campaign.
In addition to Missouri, the campaign will also be running in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas.
