Three Callaway County residents are in jail after an overnight car chase.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department said just after midnight Friday; a deputy recognized the driver of a white SUV to have a suspended driver’s license.

When the deputy tried to pull over Nathan Furlong in Fulton, he sped off. A chase went on for 13 miles on various state and county roads. Furlong had two passengers in the car.

The car chase ended in the backyard of a home on County Road 421 when all three subjects ran on foot.

Fulton Police officers and Highway Patrol Troopers assisted in the search. The three were soon found and arrested.

Nathan Furlong, of Mokane, was arrested for resisting arrest, driving while suspended, operating motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent fashion causing an accident and burglary.

The two passengers: Shane Thomas, of Fulton, and Katrina Hanger, of New Bloomfield, were both arrested for resisting arrest.
