Updated, 3:50 p.m.:

Plant manager Steve Miller said the fire started in their finished-product warehouse.

He added that, at this point, they don't know how much product was destroyed or how much the damage the fire caused.

The plant, which employes 120 people, stopped production for the day, but they're expected to re-open tomorrow.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

A fire began on Friday morning at Kingsford Manufacturing Company in Belle, Mo.

Chris Kostohris, plant operations manager, said no one was injured. He also said there was a great response from Belle, Owensville, St. James and Rolla crews and the fire is under control.

Kostohris couldn't comment on how much coal was ignited or what caused the fire.

KRCG 13's Carissa Biele is investigating.

Sweet Treats Bakery & More in Belle is accepting donations of water, food, towels and anything else that would be helpful to the crews controlling this fire. The business is located at 211 South Vienna Street.
