COLUMBIA -- A large brush fire along Highway 63, near Columbia, caused multiple problems Tuesday afternoon. The flames were still going as our crew arrived on the scene, just south of the Stadium exit.

Boone County and Columbia fire crews worked to contain the fire.

There were a series of minor accidents, due to backed up traffic. The Missouri State Highway Patrol closed a section of the highway, from Stadium to Grindstone, for a short time.
