Electrocution claims another victim at Lake of the Ozarks

Update: Monday, July 9th at 10:30 a.m.:

The Highway Patrol has released the name of the woman who died Saturday night at the Lake of the Ozarks. Troopers identified the woman as 26-year-old Jennifer Lankford of Hazelwood, MO.

An autopsy is planned for Monday.

Original Story:

Another person has been electrocuted at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the 26-year-old woman from Hazelwood who died shortly before 8 p.m.

The woman and two children were swimming near a dock in dry branch cove in Morgan County and felt a current of electricity in the water.

The two children swam away from the dock. The woman swam toward the dock and died.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
