Five occupants of a vehicle were arrested on Sunday at about 2:30 a.m. near Hams Prairie by Callaway County deputies for a minor in possession of alcohol.

During the arrest, a deputy saw a baseball bat inside the vehicle. The occupants were questioned if they had struck any mailboxes, but they denied doing so.

Later in the day, the Sheriff's Office took several reports of mailbox damage from victims on County Road 419.

Thomas Buchholz and Cody Waterson were interviewed on Wednesday about these mailbox damages. Both were arrested on suspicion of property damage and released to the jail.

A juvenile female will be interviewed about her possible involvement at a later time.
