Fatal motorcycle accident on I-70

A Columbia man was killed while riding his motorcycle on Interstate 70 Tuesday. It happened at 1:20pm at the 112 mile marker, just west of the Missouri River in Cooper County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 39-year-old Donald A. Hawkins was driving west when he apparently entered a curve, swerved, and ran off the left side of the road and into the median cables.

Hawkins was thrown from his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
