JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- Two Cole County residents are behind bars after police say they found methamphetamines in their vehicle.

At 9:15 Sunday night, Jefferson City police officers stopped David Rapier, 48, in the Wildwood Shopping Center parking lot. That’s the same center that houses Longhorn Steakhouse and MC Sports. Rapier had a warrant out for his arrest.

During the stop, officers found drug items and more than seven grams of meth in the vehicle.

Police arrested Rapier and his passenger, Tiffany Adrian, 27, for possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing drugs with the intent to distribute.

The two are in the Cole County Jail. Charges are pending.
