Audrain County -- The man who caused a fatal wreck last fall will spend 120 days in the Audrain County Jail. The Highway Patrol says on October 20th, James Rippee was driving with 11 passengers in his truck when he lost control.
That crash seriously injured six people and killed one.
Monday afternoon after the Mexico man pleaded guilty, an Audrain County Judge sentenced Rippee to a total of 14 years in prison for the various 12 counts of involuntary manslaughter, assault, child endangerment and careless driving charges.
But the judge immediately suspended the prison sentence, and instead sentenced Rippee to 5 years probation and 120 days of shock time in the County Jail.
