Fire Marshal officials determined the cause of a fire at Dorsey’s Pit Stop in Osage Beach.
The investigation found that a storage container had blocked the vent of a freezer. The blocked vent caused the compressor of the freezer to overheat and ignited a plastic container.
On Sunday, units responded to a structure fire at the restaurant at 5682 Alona Point. The fire caused an estimated $350,000 dollars of damage.

An overnight fire has caused an estimated $350,000 of damages at an Osage Beach restaurant.
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District fled to Dorsey's Pit Stop just before 1:30am on Sunday April 29th and found the restaurant engulfed in flames. For 90 minutes, approximately 23 personnel from varies protection units worked together to control and battle the blaze. There were reportedly eight employees inside when the fire sparked and all escaped safely.
The casue of the fire has not been confirmed. Osage Beach Fire Marshall is investigating.
